We are a leading provider of campground management tools to government and private campground operators offering clients comprehensive reservation systems including: website development, dedicated call-center services, database management tools, local campground management software, and marketing services.

Senior Database Administrators are responsible for the maintenance of operational database and systems for the entire Active Outdoor Recreational Licensing transaction processing systems on a daily basis. They manage the daily administration, along with implementation, of the Oracle Database and Application Server environments. They provide advanced technical and operational support to the entire Active Outdoor Staff, troubleshoot data and program issues and UNIX problems (Solaris and Linux) and instruct staff on approved policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Administration of Oracle 10g RAC Database and Application Server environments
· Maintain System and Database Administration documentation
· Maintain Oracle Data Guard replicated sites
· Monitor and Maintain Oracle ASM Storage
· Lead special project teams
· Apply current policies and procedures to incoming requests
· Monitor and maintain database performance
· Monitor and maintain UNIX system performance
· Troubleshoot systems that are not operational, determine source of problem and resolve
· Work with DBA staff, other internal teams and vendors to resolve technical problems
· Coordinate server maintenance plans
· Ensure backup and database disaster recovery plans are maintained
· Assist with System Technician training and skill progression

QUALIFICATIONS
· 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience
· Minimum 5 years industry experience in Database Administration with Oracle 10g
· Ability to write/troubleshoot SQL statements for correctness and performance
· Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database and Application Server Administration
· Knowledge of Data Guard, RMAN and Oracle Advanced Replication
· Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and associated tools
· Advanced knowledge of Solaris, Linux, and Microsoft Operating Systems
· Knowledgeable in advanced technical troubleshooting
· Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with short timelines and set deadlines
· Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in critical situations
· Ability to perform and participate in a team oriented environment
· Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of system users
